When I am commissioned to work with individuals and teams there is always room for flexible responses, new directions and unanticipated outcomes. I don’t accept work that is proscribed, in any way. Clients rarely know the full import of their request for help. Individuals and teams only ever know some of the features of the case they bring.
If you are interested in my working with you, then email me at the site. And try going to my free advice blog !
If you want contact referees, then I will supply them.
If you want case studies of what I have done with previous clients, then we must talk!

Why should I enjoy training? Do academic professors soil their hands in training venues?
They do in this case. But the hands are clean and the training is unique.
Research
- To discover the issues that beset an organisation.
Creativity
- How is this new knowledge transformed into a product which can then provide experiences for people to gain insight, knowledge and the capacity for change?
- How can they change their working patterns, become better leaders and managers and engage with the process of transforming themselves into whom they might want to become?
The answers are unique to each case. An amalgam, an alchemical combination of experiences employing philosophical insights, humour, a range of intelligences, psychology, novel exercises, psychometrics and creativity.
I am not interested in competences, skills and management frameworks. Only providing this fertile ground for change.

I have been a researcher for 25 or more years.
A style develops
- Qualitative.
- Penetrative.
- Interpretive.
- Always challenging to the readership whether it be a national audience, an organisation or an individual.
All my professional work
is based on research
- Coaching.
- Training.
- Trouble-shooting.
- Creating appraisal systems.
I have no interest in formulae; the off-the-peg models and programmes upon which research and consultancy companies build their reputations.
Commission me and you get me
For an idea of my thoughts on research, read,
The Compleat Observer, Falmer Press, 1994
It tries to get away from dry academia and makes doing research a creative pleasure and a challenge.
Research should open eyes to new perspectives, offer individuals and organisations new paths and show ways of embedding these in organisational cultures.
